| Au cours du troisième trimestre de 2016, la production d’or globale a chuté de 0,5%. Les sociétés minières ont apporté 846,6 tonnes sur le marché, contre 851,2 tonnes au troisième trimestre de 2015. Bien qu’il ne s’agisse pas d’un déclin très important, il marque le second trimestre consécutif de baisse de la production d’or sur un an. La tendance actuelle est au plateau, et ne fait qu’augmenter les chances que nous approchions, ou ayons déjà atteint, le pic de l’or. | GOLD Goldcorp suspends operations at largest Mexican gold mine |
| MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Canadian mining company Goldcorp says it is suspending operations at Mexico's largest gold mine as a weeklong blockade by a trucking contractor and local residents drags on.
The company said in a statement Monday that it plans to seek criminal charges against the protest leaders at the Penasquito mine in Zacatecas state.
Protesters have a range of demands, including building a medical clinic for a local community.
