| DeepWell secures major contract with Statoil |
| DeepWell has secured a long-term contract for provision of mechanical wireline services to Statoil. The contract value for the firm period, including options for add-on services, is estimated to exceed NOK 1 billion over a four-year period, or more than NOK 2 billion if option periods are included.

Through this transaction Statoil now has a 100% interest in UK Continental Shelf licence P312 which, with Norwegian Continental Shelf licence PL046, comprises the Utgard field. Statoil previously acquired stakes in P312 from First Oil in October 2015 and Talisman Sinopec in December 2015. Statoil is the operator in PL046 with a 62% holding.
A final investment decision for Utgard is planned before end-2016 with production start-up in mardi 28 juin 2016 |

| Statoil will suspend the Songa Delta contract after the current well, Slemmestad, in the North Sea. From end June, 2016, the rig will go on 75% suspension rate (USD 277.000 per day). The expected resumption of the work with Statoil is indicated to be mid August 2016.
The overall financial impact is expected to be limited, due to anticipated lower operating expenses in the warm-stacking period.

Nine wells were drilled safely and efficiently by the Seadrill West Hercules in the Flemish Pass Basin, located approximately 500 kilometres east of St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. The results have improved Statoil's understanding of the frontier Flemish Pass Basin.
