Glad you finally see a conspiracy, JK. Just thought I would point out a few more. The government has been sending SWAT teams onto raw milk farms, jailing the farmers, destroying their product and equipment and putting them out of business for several years now - not because they commit a crime against the public, but because they create a life and health-supporting product. This is on behalf of agribusiness, as are other governmental assaults on small farming - and their are many. This is conspiracy.

The attempt by the US government to control the world militarily, while they use the mainstream media to create an endless parade of false (and occasionally real) enemies as justification for their actions - this is a conspiracy to deceive the public on behalf of those who wish to own the world and on behalf of those who profit from warfare (often but not always the same people). When our soldiers go to Afghanistan or Iraq and discover they are not fighting to restore democracy or to save the world from radical Islam, but rather on behalf of multi-national corporate profit - and many of them reach this conclusion rather quickly - they soon realize they have been tricked into sacrificing their mental and physical health or their lives toward these ends. This awareness leads many to suicide. Here you have intentional conspiracy by the "Powers that Be" to deceive the powerless and ignorant of even their lives.

The fact that the US public is more ignorant of current events than any group of people on earth is the result of intentional conspiracy through a careful campaign of misinformation and disinformation and diversion. That the Pentagon and the mainstream press are willing players in this campaign is known by many. Many mainstream journalists have left their jobs over it and written about it afterwards. Could you have missed this?

That the "Powers that Be" gradually overthrow democracy while hiding behind this campaign is also no secret to those who read. That the same people profit from such maneuvers in multiple ways is transparent to any thinking person.

That the NDAA is virtually unknown to readers of the New York Times is the direct result of this campaign - this conspiracy of silence about the overthrow of our constitution. That a law so comprehensive and so totalitarian in design and intent is not known to every citizen of this country is the result of conspiracy. There can be no other explanation. Many people around the world know what is going on in this country, yet our people do not. Why? In a word - conspiracy.

UN Agenda 21 is something all people should read about and study. The idea that even the family, the very cornerstone of human existence, is considered "unsustainable" by the ruling elite is a fact that should be made known to all of humankind. This will never appear in any mainstream newspaper. That family court in the US, across most states, has been corrupted and is being used as an instrument to destroy families is a matter of fact in the present era. It is conspiracy by the rulers that these machinations are unreported. (see the Families Civil Liberties Union website to learn more about what is going on or ParentalRights.org. On ParentalRights.org be sure to read about the UN Treaties relating to children and the legal analysis of these treaties.)

When Bush put a gag order on many research scientists in order to stifle information about Mad Cow Disease and other prion-related illness - and many to stifle information in many scientific fields - this was conspiracy to hide information from the public. When FDAA quality control workers reported to the Canadian press about intentional efforts by the FDAA to hide information about sick cows they lost their jobs in the US, where such stories were never covered. This was conspiracy. The US government campaign against whistleblowers in this country has been very aggressive over the last decade. The list is long. This is conspiracy at its most transparent.

This is a short list, as I haven't been keeping up well with what is going on. I know many readers could do better, could add volumes to this list. The idea that conspiracy has nothing to do with what is going on in this country is puerile. I, for one, am tired of hearing it.
