I think that you need to write a book FOFOA.

I got to what appeared to be several inconsistencies and read on a bit more before falling to sleep.

You make some comments about burying gold and transactions "between Giants" but you fail to discuss the fact that governments and their tax offices monitor deals of significant size. So whilst paying up say $200 billion for some asset seems possible IT IS NOT A HIDDEN TRANSACTION and a please explain would occur.

As for burying gold all I can say is good luck. So you do not think that those in the know would show up with a metal detector and a shovel.

And last of all governments will follow the trail, especially in times when paper money is failing. All governments have provisions in place to steal gold off individuals just as they now have Cyprus style legislation so that the big banks can steal depositor money if there is a run on the banks.

In case you have not heard many tax offices now have record exchanges with other countries as well and with the continued sophistication of computer systems it won't be too long before you are not able to break wind without being noticed. Indeed I state with relative certainty that the day of paper money is coming to an end an an electronic counterpart is coming. After that read your bible (revelations) and understand we are all bits stored on a hard drive. Game over. Try and exchange your gold then.

How this all plays out is just time. And if gold is going to be worth anything in 50 years is anybody's guess. So perhaps give the matter some more thought lest you make assumptions which are invalid to come up with outcomes which may not occur.
