>Detente With Iran - Michael S. Rozeff - Mike Rozeff
I sincerely thank you for your sane and responsible analysis regarding our current 'situation' with Iran, Professor. One would think that a more sensible engagement policy approach would have come forth from the Obama Administration. Sadly, all that Obama has manifested is proof that the neocon Neanderthal diplomacy is alive and well in the echelons of power and what was once a neurotic policy under Bush has devolved into a sociopathic crusade against a nation which has, for the most part, not threatened, invaded or made war against anyone in the region. Our intransigence regarding Iran is revealing: The U.S. and Israel possess nuclear weapons and have, on occasion, threatened to employ them in a conflict with that nation. This speaks of an underlying sociopathy which I loathe even mentioning. I must confess - our 'diplomacy' with Iran is intimidating and very scary to not only myself, but many others I know and simply the thought of initiating hostilities against that nation inspires a terror within one's soul. This could very well turn out to be a very destructive and ruinous undertaking and it begs the question: Why does anyone have to live under the threat of a war which could ultimately change many, many facets of our daily lives? Most sociopaths create their own worlds, their own realities, to engage their fantasies, to act out their illusions and these realities only occasionally include the rest of us thankfully; yet when sociopaths possess nuclear weapons, their reality unfortunately and unavoidably include everyone.

Bush’s policy was to fight the "evil", which meant getting rid of that "evil"... Lire la suite
