>The Elephant Cometh  - James Howard Kunstler -

Good article Jim, Glad to see you've gotten away from shilling for your Globalists bosses against Trump.
You mention health insurance company lobbyists "crafting" the [un]Affordable Care Act.
Recently in the news, America's largest insurer UnitedHealth announced it was exiting ObamaCare in Georgia and Arkansas.

In previous times, before the Socialist Utopia that America has become, very sick individuals would have died off just like in nature. Now it's coming out that the most sick among us are dragging down and bankrupting ObamaCare. I didn't realize that even the insurance crooks that bribed up this cluster are drowning in red ink.

Just like with Medicare, 40% of the costs are spent in the last month of life and 5% of patients consume 50% of precious health care dollars. There are severe trade offs, even with the Bernie "Free Stuff" people, we are all going to learn about Economic Mother Nature soon.

Of course that's the irony of ObamaCare, there are no winners, not even the insurance companies and the hapless super-sick individuals that sunk the ship certainly didn't enjoy the ride either. It's kinda like the two-ton Tony that weighed down the plane that couldn't get airborne and crashed at the end of the runway.

some quotes from a recent Zerohedge article on the subject:
"This was a stunning revelation because, after all, the Affordable Care Act was largely drafted by the insurance industry itself, and if for whatever reason, it itself was unable to capitalize on Obamacare, then it has truly been a disaster."

"even insurance companies have been unable to earn a profit under Obamacare"

"one has to question whether the exchange as an institution is a viable enterprise,”
"where individuals turned out to be more costly to care for than the companies expected."

"We are certain that many if not all will promptly follow in UnitedHealth's footsteps as the beginning of the end for Obamacare finally plays out as so many skeptics of the "Affordable" Care Act had predicted."

Début de l'article :The elephant’s not even in the room, which is why the 2016 election campaign is such a soap opera. The elephant outside the room is named Discontinuity. That’s perhaps an intimidating word, but it is exactly what the USA is in for. It means that a lot of familiar things come to an end, stop, don’t work the way they are supposed to — beginning, manifestly, with the election process now underway in all its unprecedented bizarreness. One reason it’s... Lire la suite
