Well, well, what do we have here from Kunstler? After voting twice for Obama and the Democrats, he now seems to be highly critical of the Party. More than that: he thinks they're going the way of the Whigs. You see, as dictatorial as the Democrats were, they weren't dictatorial enough for Kunstler: they didn't banish automobiles and order people to take mass transit, not did they place a total ban on oil consumption which would have put the final grin on Kunstler's face.

Of course he has no love for the Republicans, describing Trump as some sort of stumbling Frankenstein. But there is a glimmer of hope for Kunstler. He thinks, at least, that since Trump raised his children to responsible adulthood, he might raise America to responsible adulthood as well. Looking at the rioting and rude 'children' running amok on our streets, we can only hope.
