>Turning on the Light  - James Howard Kunstler -
James, you have a very thorough use of the American English language. I've had to look up (Google, Yahoo, Bing) some of the words you write. I've learned, in Palestine and Jordan, that having the "correct" use of the language (Arabic) goes a long way toward improving one's standing in any local community. On the other hand: saying the "wrong" thing (not knowing you're saying the wrong words) can turn somber into hilarious ! !

Getting to our USA Lingo-Lango difficulties: all the communicating on the streets is being done at it's easiest; speaking is done in any area, with any group, using the words of least resistance. It's kind of Acrobatic English, and lately, throwing some Spanish into the conversation denotes a person is reaching the Higher Levels of Oratory ! !
