>Christmas in Flyover Land  - James Howard Kunstler -
Great depiction of the current scene which is played all over New England and I guess most every state in the Union. The old brick factory buildings here in the rural towns have become a mix of small industry rental spaces, living spaces and some offices. Banks and other financial services taking much of the space. This has taken the better part of 40 years to achieve and there are still many large brick clad buildings awaiting some new use.

I often chuckle at the online attempts to win my business. I've tried them pleasantly amused as they race to impress me with their quick deliveries. A hundred dollar order of sundries often arrives in 3 different deliveries. I'm rural with a long drive and am agog to see the effort made on the 3 rd delivery - my jar of cashews. I can't imaging the P&S analysis on that transaction. I do give them an "A" for effort.
