Still standing amid the wreckage

Who are the 'New Urbanists'? Kunstler says they are, "...the only organized group of adults in the nation who have not completely lost their minds."

But who are they really? Gleamed froom Kunstler's past rants about modern society, they are those who (among other irrationalities) would make mandatory the banning of the automobile, the compulsory use of public transit with its rampant criminality, inconvenience, and vulnerabilty to labor strikes and terrorist's attacks.

Not doubt, given Kunstler's antipathy to anything not made by hand, many other things would be banned (with threat of fine and force) by the New Fascists...ah, New Urbanists I mean...such as power tools, microwave ovens, to name a few. It's back to the woods we go, hi-ho, hi-ho.

Again, one must read Kunstler's other rants to get the full flavor.

Unbelievaibly the real things still standing, after the wreckage of scientific fact, are the man-made global warming and peak oil fallacies.
