Certainly, Australia is not immune to this developing crisis. It is not all doom and gloom, however, Australia is still one of the world's largest gold producers and China can't get enough of it. Gold is king of money. It is a pity that successive governments in Australia have sought to off-shore all manufacturing, thereby making it almost impossible to value add to Australia's rich resource industry, thereby keeping Australian's employed, even if only for domestic consumption. It seems that all the western governments have implemented policy to close down local manufacturing. Are we to think that these politician's have miraculously adopted the same position ? I think not.
