>Clint Eastwood and Disrespect  - Nelson Hultberg - Afr
Eastwood's speech was scripted and approved by the GOP leadership ahead of time like all the other speeches given at the GOP convention; however he appeared to change his speech and what he agreed to say and what he really wanted to say seems blurred. At the end he states something that I feel sure was not what the GOP wanted him to say:
“ I am speaking out for everybody out there …. What I am saying is we don't have to be mental masochist and vote for somebody we really don't want in there in office just because they seem to be nice guys or not so nice guys ….. Make my day.”
The part that maybe questionable is the use of the chair because of all the ramrodding that was done to the grassroots who objected to rule changes at the convention. To quote after voice votes that were not in the majority or at least to close to call House Speaker Boener said “the ayes have it” in the opinion of the “chair”. Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hla-3ZOBTXk&feature=youtu.be he was reading for the teleprompter http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77W5OKStO5s&feature=youtu.be . It didn't matter what the vote would have been it was decided ahead of time that the “ayes” would have it. The Demos are not to be out done by the Republican and followed with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cncbOEoQbOg&feature=youtu.be
The common grassroots people have seldom been in charge. "Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” Hermann Goering

Eastwood is intelligent enough to say what he wanted to say and still keep his agreement and not give all the lawyers in the world something that would give him a bad time. I personally feel he didn't indorse anyone wholeheartedly. Maybe he didn't like the proceedings of the convention either where the “chair” over ruled the peoples objections.

Début de l'article :The political left in America is out raged at Clint Eastwood’s recent presentation at the GOP convention. The shock and disbelief of Rachel Maddowat MSNBC and the Blitzer gang at CNN is heavy with condemnation of this inimitable American icon. The establishment media response has basically come down as follows: “Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen... Lire la suite
