Prior to the discovery of VMS mineralization in the Sachigo Volcanic Belt by Spider, the only limited physical examination of the area has been
undertaken by the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS), consisting of regional-scale mapping (1975) and airborne magnetic surveys at line spacing from 200 m to 400 m.
