Crossland Creek is located in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia, 190 kilometres west of Wyndam and 150 kilometres south of Kalumburu.

Past exploration focused on several other targets, but Crossland recognized the promising potential for uranium on the property. The structural geology is similar to the Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan and the McArthur Basin in the Northern Territory.
