During the late 1970’s to early 1980’s CRA Exploration Pty Ltd (CRAE) conducted uranium exploration in the area covering from Manyingee down to the Uaroo project area. From their work, a 40km redox front was defined that trends broadly north to south

The Uaroo Project covers rocks that are primarily considered highly prospective for sandstone hosted roll front uranium mineralisation. Geologically, the tenements cover the basin margin between paleoproterozoic rocks of the Gasgoyne complex and the Cretaceous sediments of the Carnavon Basin.
