The Torlon Hill zinc property is located in the Cuchumatanes Highlands of western Guatemala, Central America about 140 km northwest of Guatemala City and 12km west-northwest of the city of Huehuetenango.

The area has been known as an historic mining center for silver, lead and zinc since the Spaniards discovered the area in the mid-16th century.

Zinc and associated lead-silver mineralization at Torlon Hill is hosted by a 200 meter thick unit of Permian dolostone breccia faulted onto a large serpentinite body.
