The Codroy project consists of 1085 map-staked claims covering 271 km2 of the Carboniferous-aged Bay St. George Sedimentary Basin. The basin is part of the much larger Maritimes Basin which extends from Newfoundland southwest through Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.

The Bay St. George Basin has been intermittently explored for salt and uranium primarily in the 1970's. Numerous uranium occurrences were discovered during that period and, while no systematic base metal exploration was conducted, the work documented copper showings in association with uranium mineralization.

|
|
This geological environment is considered highly permissive for the development of Sediment-hosted Stratiform Copper (SSC) deposits, uranium and salt and potash deposits.
