Exploiting auriferous palaeoplacers (reefs), i.e. the Ventersdorp Contact Reef (VCR) of the Venterspost Formation and conglomerates that comprise the Upper Elsburg Reefs of the Mondeor Formation. Mine type and depth: A large developing deep level gold mine (>2,000 metres below surface).
