The Inaja Greenstone Belt (IGB) is a 100 kilometer long E-W trending arc in the southernmost part of the Carajas Mettallogenic Province in Para State.


IGB is best known for alluvial gold deposits active in the mid-1980s. The largest are Forquilha and Carrapato in the east-central part of the belt, each with workings several kilometers long and hundreds of meters wide.


Many of the alluvial workings expose sulfidic quartz veins in bedrock shear zones, the apparent source of the gold.
