Between 1972 and 1982 Mae Chedi produced tungsten and tin ore from the contact zone between a Cretaceous granitic stock and Devonian volcanics.
|
|
|
|
Mae Chedi is one of the few Thai tungsten mines where the owners carried out exploration. Results, not yet independently verified by Amanta, indicate that large volumes of granitic rock around the old exploitation pits may be mineralized with low grade tin-tungsten.
