ASX Announcement
4 August 2015
Acquisition of strategic parcel of freehold land
A typographical error was noted in the ASX announcement released earlier today. Terramin completed the acquisition of 365,000 m2 (rather than 36,500 m2) of land at Bird-in-Hand. Accordingly the full announcement now reads as follows.
Terramin Australia Limited (Terramin) (ASX:TZN) is pleased to announce that it has completed the acquisition of strategic 365,000 m2 parcel of freehold land to be utilised for the development of the Bird-in-Hand gold deposit.
The land is ideally situated for positioning the portal for decline access to the deposit and has the required surface area to accommodate mine infrastructure and stockpiling. The land has been previously cleared with a history of mining and farming occurring since the late 1800's.
Consistent with its commitment to biodiversity, Terramin has commenced planting native tree and shrub species to integrate with existing vegetation and increase the endemic wildlife habitat. Approximately 2,200 native trees and shrubs sourced from local suppliers have been planted and more ordered in preparation for planting during winter 2016.
Commenting on the land acquisition, Martin Janes, Terramin CEO said: "We are very pleased to have been able to finalise the acquisition of this land, this is a significant event for the project and it puts Terramin one step closer to the development of the Bird-in-Hand high grade gold deposit".
