COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND RELOCATION PLAN PROGRESSING
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS FORGED WITH LOCAL COMMUNITIES
DONATIONS OF RICE AND SUGAR DELIVERED IN JUNE
Minemakers Limited (ASX/TSX:MAK) ("Minemakers") reports on progress by Baobab Mining and Chemical Corporation SA ("BMCC"), with regard to the Community Support and Relocation Plan ("CSRP"), which forms part of Baobab Phosphate Project's Small Mine Permit ("SMP") requirements.
Over the past 18 months, BMCC has engaged with village and local government leaders to discuss the Project's impact on the communities of Gawane and Lambaye. As a result of this ongoing active engagement, the BMCC team has built strong regional relationships and support for the Project, which is expected to provide a range of socio-economic benefits.
As part of this ongoing engagement program, BMCC recently donated 30 tonnes of rice and 5 tonnes of sugar to communities directly
impacted by the Project. The supplies were delivered to local community leaders in June.
The Sous-Prefet De Lambaye providing the official donation receipt
to Manar Ba (BMCC-Directeur General).
Manar Ba, (BMCC Directeur General) commented, "Working with local communities is an integral part of the Project's development. The program addresses basic community needs and creates a solid foundation for mutual respect and cooperation as we move forward to achieve our respective goals."
A Notice of Meeting covering the proposed acquisition of BMCC, together with Independent Expert's
Report, will be dispatched to shareholders in coming weeks.
