Brigadier Gold (TSX-V: BRG) Announces Appointment of New President and CEO and Directors and Calling of a Shareholders Meeting
October 22, 2010 (Toronto, Ontario) ? Brigadier Gold Limited (BRG-TSXV) announced that effective today, Friday, October 22, 2010, Grant Hall, BA Economics, will assume the role of President & CEO, as well as a director of the Company, and Herb Kokotow, CA, will remain a director and will assume the role of Treasurer and CFO.
Grant Hall has vast experience in the mining, mining services, commodities and financial industries. He has held senior positions of leadership and authority in the brokerage business with two prominent firms. He has provided funding for several mining ventures over his career. Mr. Hall owned a successful Diamond drill business in Colombia, South America. Grant?s knowledge of commodities industries along with his financial background have provided him the ability to raise significant amounts of capital for public and private companies in the resource sector.
Brigadier is also pleased to announce that today William J. Dynes, B.Sc (Hon) Professional Geologist is joining the Company as a director.
Mr. Dynes is a professional Consulting Geologist with 29 years experience in mining and mineral exploration. He has held several senior positions and directorships with numerous corporations in the mining industry. He has and is managing exploration projects in Africa and Mexico.
Brigadier also announced that Tim Pervin and Simon Baker have stepped down as directors.
Brigadier also announced that at the request of the TSX Venture Exchange, that the Company did not hold the annual general meeting within the required timeframe pursuant to the Exchange?s Policies, but are pleased to announce that the Company?s Annual & Special Meeting of Shareholders will now be held on November 23, 2010.
