LANGLEY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2011) - As announced on 14 February 2011, Argosy Minerals Limited (News - Market indicators) ("Argosy") reached agreement for a A$1.49 million capital raising via a placement of 14.9 million ordinary shares at 10 cents per share.

This placement was contingent on the grant of an exploration license over the Argosy 93 Prospect in Sierra Leone to explore for iron ore. 

Argosy now advises that this license has been granted, and as such the shares have been issued and the placement is now final.

The directors have exercised 4.75 million 10 cent options, raising a further $475,000.
