'Young Polish people should develop their skills in Polish firms. There is a place for them in the companies, in which the State Treasury holds shares. This is why I would like to heartily encourage you to join the pilot programme of paid internships offered by the Ministry of State Treasury under the motto: "We are creating value for the Polish economy, come and work for us!",' said Włodzimierz Karpiński, Minister of the State Treasury.
KGHM is a modern and dynamic company that is willingly sharing its knowledge. The company offers young talents access to state-of-the-art technologies and solutions implemented in the organisation. The graduates have the opportunity to improve their qualifications by working with specialist design teams. It is a unique opportunity to draw from the experience of experts working in the structures of an international company.
'KGHM employees are the most valuable capital the company has. They create a unique culture and value. We gain the best experts and specialists there are on the labour market. As a result, we employ persons that actually correspond to our needs. Work rendered by each and every one of them is equally important for the success of the entire organisation. We are aware of the fact that the potential that is lying in wait in young people is the basis for the company's development,' added Marta Cydejko, Chief Director for HR Management, KGHM Polska Miedź S.A.
To take part in the competition, you need to go to the website, register, and complete a professional questionnaire by 31 March 2015, which will help verify your skills.
'The questionnaire will be analysed by a computer system and will be graded using points. The final assessment will consist in the results of the competence test (50 questions) taken by the candidate and the grade of the graduation work and the average grade from all grades received in the course of studies,' explained Agnieszka Jabłońska-Twaróg, spokesperson for the Ministry.
The best participants will be invited by the companies for interviews. The competition is open to graduates of Polish universities who defended their thesis in 2014 and received the title of an engineer, master or master engineer. The winners will be selected by 8 May 2015. The first internships start on 1 June 2015. The winners of the first place in each company will be granted a place on a six-month paid internship (at least PLN 2,500 gross/month). Subsequent places will be rewarded with three-month paid internships (at least PLN 2,000 gross/month).
Outside KGHM, internships will also be available at such companies as: ARP, BGK, ENEA, Energa, Grupa Azoty, Grupa LOTOS, KSC, PERN "Przyjaźń", PGE, PGNiG, PGZ, PKN ORLEN, PKO BP, PKP Cargo, PZU and TAURON.
