• Ford (F) announced that in response to customer demand for products, the company this year will produce close to 40,000 extra units by idling select plants for only one week during what has been the traditional two-week summer shutdown. As part of Ford's annual production schedule, its North American manufacturing facilities will shut down from June 29 to July 10, 2015 for building maintenance and machine retooling. The increased production was included in the financial guidance Ford confirmed in its first-quarter earnings report on April 28, 2015.

6:29 am Perrigo announces an agreement to acquire a portfolio of OTC brands from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Consumer Healthcare; accretion to 2015 EPS expected, financial details not disclosed (PRGO) : Perrigo will acquire the following assets in an all-cash transaction:

• GSK's NiQuitin nicotine replacement therapy business, primarily in the European Economic Area and Brazil, and Novartis's legacy Australian NRT business, including the Nicotinell brand
• Several assorted OTC brands including Coldrex (cold and flu treatment) across the EEA, and Panodil, Nezeril, and Nasin in Sweden

• The acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to Perrigo's calendar 2015 adjusted earnings per share, excluding estimated intangible amortization and transaction-related costs. The transaction has been unanimously approved by the Boards of Directors of Perrigo and GSK, and is expected to close in the third quarter of 2015

• At the EULAR congress, data from the pivotal Phase III MEASURE 2 study will demonstrate that secukinumab improves the signs and symptoms of AS disease activity through one year of treatment, confirming previous one-year data from the MEASURE 1 study. • On June 1, 2015, Baidu (BIDU) and co agreed to terminate the Zhixin cooperation agreement with immediate effect. 
• Co believesthe termination is in the best interests of the shareholders of both companies. Under this agreement, in consideration of the Zhixin page views Baidu delivered to us in 2014, Baidu was granted warrants exercisable for 11.45 million of our class B ordinary shares and Baidu fully exercised such warrants. There will be no additional warrants granted to Baidu under this agreement. 
• In connection with the termination of the Zhixin cooperation agreement, Baidu agreed to pay us a fee of RMB207 million.

Under these agreements TA also will purchase from HPT five travel centers now leased by TA and subleased to TA franchisees for approximately $45 million. The net proceeds to be realized by TA of approximately $352 million (before transaction costs) are expected to produce gains on sales for financial reporting purposes of approximately $137 million.
