Title: Skeena Acquires More Land at Tropico Project, Mexico

Skeena Resources Limited (TSX.V: SKE) is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 1,600 hectare mineral concession interior to its Tropico copper-platinum-palladium-gold project located 25 km north of Mazatlan, Sinaloa State, Mexico. A 100% interest in the Tropico 4 Concession was acquired for a cash consideration from the State Government in a competitive lottery draw. This land will be contributed to the original Tropico option that Skeena acquired from the Santoy Resources Ltd. -- Almaden Minerals Ltd. Joint Venture and to the contiguous San Pablo concession optioned from Mineral Cacabel (refer to news release dated February 15, 2008).

Elsewhere in Mexico, the Company is progressing well with a Diamond drill program, currently on hole number 24 out of an initial proposed 30-hole investigation, on its Malpica copper-gold-molybdenum project, 30 km east of Mazatlan. Assay results from the first 10 holes, step-outs to the two main deposits (Cerro Pelon and Cerro Tunel), were summarized in a news release dated April 14, 2008. Results from the next batch of holes, which will include both step-out and in-fill holes, are expected by the end of May. The Company is awaiting the final results from a Fugro Surveys Ltd. helicopter-borne DIGHEM electromagnetic and magnetic survey over both the Tropico and Malpica Projects prior to expanding both programs.
