(News - Market indicators), today announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Fryters to the position of Chief Financial Officer& Secretary. Mr. Fryters will report directly to David Kruse, President and Chief Executive Officer, Opta Minerals Inc.

Mr. Fryters is a Chartered Accountant with 24 years of finance and accounting experience gained during a progression of senior roles in both private industry and public companies. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Fryters served as Corporate Controller of Opta Minerals since 2009.
