Sustainable Energy Technologies Ltd (TSX
VENTURE:STG - News;
"Sustainable Energy") Canada's solar inverter company, is pleased
to announce that independently conducted highly accelerated life testing
("HALT") has confirmed the exceptional reliability of the Company's
SUNERGY platform enabling the Company to confidently extend its product
warranty to a standard 10 years and to offer customers an optional 20 year
extended coverage.
HALT is an industry standard test
procedure that uses a series of individual and multiple simultaneous stresses
such as multi-axis vibration, temperature cycling and product power cycling
to identify any latent design defects as well as stressing the product to
operational limits in order to assess design robustness and marginality. The
SUNERGY(TM) inverter exceeded expectations at every phase of testing and no
product weakness was identified, including during operations that were well
beyond specified the inverter's operating limits of minus 40 degrees C to
plus 50 degrees C.
"The exceptionally good test
results reflect the design simplicity and robust character of the SUNERGY
platform," said Brent Harris, Chief Technology Officer of Sustainable
Energy. "The power electronics circuits have remained substantially
unchanged for several years and we have successful operating experience with
more than 10MW of installations in Europe, the majority of which have been in
the field for almost three years."
Sustainable Energy will showcase its
next generation SUNERGY(TM) inverters at Solar Canada 2010, booth #904. Solar
Canada is Canada's largest solar industry exhibition and conference, hosted
by the Canadian Solar Industry Association December 6-7, 2010 at the Metro
Toronto Convention Center.
SUNERGY (TM) inverters can be purchased
directly from Sustainable Energy, or through its growing network of
distributors in Canada and the USA. Interested parties can contact the North
American sales team at 1.647.258.0343.
About Sustainable Energy:
Sustainable Energy
(www.sustainableenergy.com) is Canada's solar inverter company. The Company's
patented inverter technologies are a breakthrough in power inverter design
and capabilities for all forms of distributed generation and smart grid
applications.
The SUNERGY(TM) inverter is the
industry's only grid-interactive solar inverter which enables a
"parallel" solar PV system architecture in higher power ratings at
a cost and serviceability factor that is comparable to conventional inverters
in the market. The benefits of parallel solar are: (i)
5% - 25% higher total system power output; (ii) a better fill factor enabling
better coverage of available space; (iii) simplified system design and
installation; and (iv) the safety of extra low operating voltages which
ensures the safety of building maintenance personnel, first responders, and
tradesmen who may accidentally come into contact with system wiring.
Sustainable Energy's technologies are
the subject of multiple patents issued by and pending with the Canadian and
US Patent Offices.
