New World Appoints Chief Operating Officer
Vancouver, BC: New World Resource Corp. ("New World" or the "Company") announces the appointment of Mr. Brian McEwen P.Geo, to the position of Chief Operating Officer ("COO") of the Company effective immediately. Mr. McEwen is a professional geologist with more than 30 years of exploration and production experience in open-pit and underground mining projects and operations. His experience includes project management, economic evaluations, resource and reserve evaluations for various precious and base metal companies worldwide, including extensive experience in Latin America. In addition to senior technical and managerial roles with various public and private companies, Mr. McEwen has served on the board of several public companies and has been involved in raising capital for project financing. Company President and CEO, John Lando, commented: "We are excited to have Brian join New World. He brings a wealth of exploration and operations experience. His expertise will certainly be an asset as we advance our Lipe�a/Bonete copper-gold project in Bolivia and explore the potential of a near-term mining operation." In connection with the appointment of Brian McEwen to COO, the Company has granted incentive stock options to purchase 250,000 shares, exercisable at a price of $0.10 per share for a period of five years. The options were granted under and are subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's Stock Option Plan.
