NORTH ATLANTIC APPOINTS J. GIANNI KOVACEVIC TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Toronto, Canada, October 20, 2010: North Atlantic Resources Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to report that Mr. J. Gianni Kovacevic has been appointed as Director of the Company.

Scott Waldie, President and CEO of the Company, stated, "On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Company, I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Kovacevic to the Board of Directors of North Atlantic Resources Ltd. Mr. Kovacevic is also Chairman and a Director of Romulus Resources, a TSX venture listed company. North Atlantic has also granted incentive stock options to buy 250,000 shares of North Atlantic at a price of CAD $0.55 per share. The options shall have a five year term expiring on October 19, 2015.
