Continuum Appoints Leonard Sinclair of Clifton and Associates as Environmental Manager
January 31, 2008 - Vancouver, B.C.: Dale Schultz, Vice President Exploration of Continuum Resources Ltd (TSXV: CNU) is pleased to announce that Leonard Sinclair of Clifton and Associates has been appointed to the position of Environmental Manager for Continuum. Mr. Sinclair will be responsible for providing his knowledge and experience regarding environmental assessments, government regulation, community relations and the potential impact of exploration and mining on the environment from Continuum's exploration activities in the Country of Mexico
Mr. Sinclair is an associate with Clifton and Associates. He received his post-secondary education from Kelsey Institute of Technology in Water Sciences and Environmental Studies at the University of Saskatchewan. Mr. Sinclair has over thirty years of consulting experience in the mining industry. He worked at the Rabbit Lake Uranium Mine in Northern Saskatchewan providing environmental monitoring and oversight, and he has held a number of positions with the Saskatchewan Department of Environment over 18 years, particularly of note as the Technical Services Manager working for the Department's Mining Regulatory group. There he developed assessment guidelines for the province for acid rock drainage and assisted in the development of methodologies to assess waste rock geochemical characteristics prior to mining. Mr. Sinclair served as Project Manager for Government of Saskatchewan Northern Affairs Initiative to decommission and recl
aim the Gunnar Mines abandoned uranium mine and tailings. He also served with Northern Affairs as the Manager of the Northern Mines Environmental Monitoring Secretariat, responsible for the integration of aboriginal and non-status northern communities in community level environmental oversight of proposed and operational uranium mines. Recently, he held the position of Environmental Consultant and Manager of Environmental affairs for Shore Gold at the Fort la Carne Diamond exploration Project.
