BANNERMAN APPOINTS MS MONICA KALONDO
TO SUBSIDIARY BOARD
Perth, Australia - Bannerman Resources Limited (ASX: BMN, TSX: BAN, NSX: BMN) ("Bannerman" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Ms Monica Kalondo has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of Bannerman's 80%-owned Namibian subsidiary, Bannerman Mining Resources (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd ("BMRN"). BMRN is the sole owner of the Etango Uranium Project and Swakop River Exploration Project mineral prospecting licences in Namibia, southwestern Africa.
Ms Kalondo is an outstanding Namibian businesswoman who will bring considerable financial and commercial expertise to Bannerman's activities in Namibia. She is currently Managing Director of Stimulus Private Equity, Namibia's first private equity fund, and also serves on the National Council of the Namibian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
In addition to her professional activities, Ms Kalondo was instrumental in the formulation and implementation of Namibia's Financial Sector Charter and is involved in other initiatives aimed at guiding national policy formulation. In 2006, she was appointed by the President of the Republic of Namibia to serve as a member of the President's Economic Advisory Council and was later again appointed by the President to serve as Deputy Chairperson of the Public Officer-Bearer's Commission.
Ms Kalondo has a law degree and has received numerous accolades, including being the youngest laureate of the prestigious Namibian Business Hall of Fame.
