	Monday, March 17, 2008 Serengeti Resources appoints new CFO
	VANCOUVER, BC - March 17, 2008 - Serengeti Resources Inc. (TSX-Venture: SIR) The Company announces the appointment of Alec Peck as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective March 12, 2008. Alec completed his CA requirements with Deloitte & Touche Chartered Accountants in Vancouver. He then practiced in Alberta prior to moving to Toronto. From 1986 until 1993, he was a partner with member offices of the public accounting firm Horwath International. From 1993 until March 2004 he was a Vice President in the corporate finance group of publicly listed full service investment dealers, first with CM Oliver and then Canaccord Capital Corporation which acquired CM Oliver in 1998. He currently provides senior financial and advisory services to Canadian private and public corporations, acting in officer or director capacities. Mr. Peck's appointment replaces former CFO, Ian Brown, who has stepped aside to focus on board-level duties. Mr. Brown served as Serengeti's CFO since 1989 and as President 2002 to 2004, and will remain on the Board of Directors.
