Inca Pacific Appoints Rothwell As President & Ceo

Vancouver, BC, November 26, 2008 - Inca Pacific Resources Inc. (TSX-V:
IPR) is pleased to announce the appointment of James R. Rothwell to the
position of President and Chief Executive Officer effective January 1,
2009. Mr. Rothwell will succeed Mr. Anthony Floyd who will move to the
position of Chairman of the Board for Inca Pacific.
Mr Rothwell has over 35 years' experience in the mining industry,
including involvement with mine operations, project development,
minerals marketing, corporate strategic planning and business
development. He has had assignments in Canada, the USA, Brazil and
Australia. Mr. Rothwell was President of BHP Diamonds during the
development and initial years of operation of the Ekati
Diamond Mine
and was subsequently President and CEO of Dia Met Minerals Ltd. Since
2001, Mr Rothwell has held several senior corporate positions and is
currently a director of Motapa Diamonds Inc. and Chairman of Shore Gold
Inc.
"Joining Inca Pacific at this time is an exciting opportunity," said
Mr. Rothwell. "The Company has made great strides in recent years,
particularly in positioning its Magistral Project in Peru for future
development. Magistral is a high quality copper/molybdenum project
supported by a sound professional team of employees and consultants. I
look forward to working with this team to move the project through the
permitting process, and taking other steps to ensure that development
can proceed on a timely basis once the global economy and metal markets
return to more normal conditions. Inca Pacific is also well funded to
move through the current period of market uncertainty. At the same
time, we shall continue to evaluate other strategic options in the
interests of our shareholders."
Mr Floyd will facilitate the management transition while continuing to
offer his experience and expertise to the Company. "The time is right
for a leadership change at Inca Pacific, and we are confident that Jim
Rothwell brings the right background and set of skills to move the
Company forward," he said. "I will continue active involvement at the
board level to help Inca Pacific realize its full potential."
