BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2007) - NaiKun Wind Energy
Group Inc., ("NaiKun" or "the company") (TSX VENTURE:NKW)
announced today that Tony Fogarassy has been appointed as Director of
Corporate Projects and General Counsel for the company.
Mr. Fogarassy joins the company from Clark Wilson LLP, one of
Vancouver's most respected law firms, where he founded and chaired the
firm's energy law group, and most recently, acted as chair of the
firm's newly formed aboriginal practice group. With a strong
understanding of the energy sector in BC, Mr. Fogarassy's practice has
principally involved commercial, First Nations, environmental,
transportation and public policy law, both federally and provincially.
Mr. Fogarassy has advised a number of clients such as the Prince Rupert
Port Authority, the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Lands, the BC
Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources and a suite of
industry clients with interests in the BC offshore.
In addition to law, Mr. Fogarassy also has extensive experience as a
geologist. He has worked on projects throughout western Canada and on
Canada's three coasts as well as internationally for industry and
government.

In his role at NaiKun, Mr. Fogarassy will become a key member of the
company's operations team by supporting commercial negotiations and
helping to manage corporate projects related to commercial property,
resource tenure, environmental assessment and regulatory processes,
public policy and First Nations affairs. He will also take the lead on
all legal responsibilities for the company.

Before joining Clark Wilson LLP, Mr. Fogarassy was General Counsel to
the Technical University of British Columbia and Legal Counsel to the
University of British Columbia. He is a member of several associations
including the Law Society of British Columbia, the Canadian Institute
of Energy, Ocean Industries BC and the Independent Power Producers
Association of British Columbia. He also serves as Director for the
GeoScience BC Society and the Burgess Shale Geoscience Foundation.
Mr. Fogarassy holds a Master of Laws (with Merit) degree from the
London School of Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Laws
degree from the University of British Columbia in addition to a
Master's of Science (First Class) and a Bachelor's of Science (Honours,
First Class) from the University of British Columbia.
