Minco Silver Appoints VP of Operations and President of Foshan
Minco Fuwan Mining Co. Ltd.

Minco Silver Corporation (the "Company" or "Minco Silver") (TSX: MSV)
is pleased to announce that Dr. Dianmin Chen has been appointed as Vice
President of Operations for Minco Silver and President of Foshan Minco
Fuwan Mining Co. Ltd. Dr. Chen will be based at the Fuwan Mine site
located in Gaoming, Guangdong Province, China, and will be in charge of
the construction and operation of the Fuwan Silver Project.
After working in the Chinese mining industry for eight years, Dr. Chen
joined Northparkes Mines of Rio Tinto for four years. He was with
Barrick Gold Corporation for a decade (1998 to 2007) working in
progressively senior roles at several of its projects and operations in
Australia. Dr. Chen was the Executive Director and General Manager at
Sino Jinfeng Mining Ltd, a subsidiary of Sino Gold Corporation from
2007 to 2009, and was responsible for the management of the Jinfeng
Gold Mine located in Guizhou Province, China. Prior to joining Minco
Silver, Dr. Chen was the Chief Operations Officer of CITIC Pacific
Mining Management Ltd, responsible for the development of a large
magnetic iron ore mine in Western Australia.
Dr. Chen holds the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering
from the Central South University of China, and Ph.D. in Mining
Geomechanics from the University of Wollongong of Australia.

Fuwan Silver project into production."
