As we go deeper, the gold grade gets higher...

It�s been an encouraging...actually it�s been an exciting few weeks for us here at Olympus. Some people will be aware of our recent progress and results of the metallurgy study from Jugan Hill at our Bau project, Malaysia. The press release about that can be found here. This was great news around our camp.

Jugan Hill reveals itself

In the last week though we had something else come in that really made us smile - we hit higher gold grade at deeper levels below our existing Jugan Hill resource, which is obviously fantastic news in and of itself, but the real humdinger is this. The Bau area has been documented as geologically similar to the Carlin Area in N.Nevada which many of you will know is one of the longest running and largest gold producing areas in the world. It�s a geologically unique area, at least with regards to gold. One of the features of this �Carlin style� is low grade gold deposits at surface and high grade deposits at depth. So when we struck a 24.5 Meter intersection grading between 7.15g/t and 10.4 g/t at 275 Meters below surface, we were, needless to say, pretty excited about it. It�s confirming our expectations that the analogy to Carlin is not without merit. As you read this we�re continuing to drill at Jugan Hill, we hope to have further good news in the coming weeks.

What's Bau again?

Located in East Malaysia, Central Bau is a large and historic goldfield with an established gold resource of 3.2M oz* (JORC/NI 43-101).
There are multiple gold deposits across the property. Right now we're focused on the Jugan Hill deposit where we already have an existing resource.
