SOLTORO BEGINS RESOURCE DEFINITION DRILL PROGRAM
AT EL RAYO SILVER-GOLD PROJECT IN MEXICO
Toronto, Ontario: Soltoro Ltd. (SOL: TSX.V) has resumed drilling at its 100% owned El Rayo silver-gold project in Jalisco State, Mexico. A minimum 4,000 metre drill program is underway along the Las Bolas north-east trending structure. In 2007, Soltoro completed a 5,530 metre orientation drill program designed to expand a historic non NI 43-101 compliant 7 million ounce resource outlined by the Mexican government in the 1980's within the EL Rayo and Las Bolas structures. Soltoro drill results returned sufficient values to warrant further drilling to define a silver resource. A topographic survey has been completed along these structures in order for a resource drill campaign to be initiated. Initial resource drilling is being started at 50 metre spacings in the Las Bolas zone. Previously at Las Bolas approximately 70% recovery was achieved utilizing a Diamond drill as the ground is very fractured, making drilling and core recovery difficult. A percussion drill is being used with a view to improving recoveries.
Andrew Thomson, the president of Soltoro reports: "Our 2007 drill program confirmed the potential for El Rayo to host a significant bulk tonnage silver-gold deposit. In 2008 we aim to announce a silver resource while also completing initial metallurgical testing to determine the leachability of the material. Further testing of the gold zone along the EL Rayo structure will also be carried out."
Select results from the prior Diamond drill program at Las Bolas were returned as follows:

A historic, non 43-101 compliant, 7 million ounce silver resource has been reported within the El Rayo and Las Bolas structures. The Consejo Recursos Minerales, a Mexican government geological agency, defined 1,346,072 tonnes at 169 gpt silver in a report dating from 1992. A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources. Soltoro is not treating the historical estimate as current mineral resources and the historical estimate should not be relied upon. To date, Soltoro has defined 5 kilometres of mineralized structures open on strike to the north east along the Las Bolas structure and north-west along the El Rayo structure.
Assaying of samples was conducted by ALS Chemex. Silver and other elements were analyzed using four acid "near total" digestion with an ME-ICP finish. Mr. William McGuinty, P.Geo, is the Company's qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 and has reviewed the contents of this press release.
Soltoro is a junior exploration company active in Mexico. The Company is exploring for bulk tonnage gold, silver and copper deposits in Mexico and has two significant joint-ventures partners on two of its projects. Soltoro's shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol SOL Soltoro has 20,215,000 shares outstanding.
