Yankee Hat Minerals Ltd. (the “Company”) announces that it is planning significant changes to its Board of Directors and senior management, subject to TSX Venture Exchange acceptance.

These planned changes, include the following appointments;

• Terence Schorn, P.Geo, as Chairman and Director;
• Brad Kitchen, MBA, B.Ap. Sc., Chief Executive Officer along with his previous appointment as President;
• Cale Thomas, MBA, BA, Chief Financial Officer; and
• Stacy Broadoway, VP Corporate Affairs.

Terence Schorn is a graduate of the world renowned Haileybury School of Mines and brings over 50 years' experience in mineral exploration, development and production in both North America and Australia. He is an affiliate of Sweetwater Capital and is currently involved in the development of mining projects for War Eagle Mining Corporation and Zoro Mining Corp.

Cale Thomas is currently the CFO and controller of a very strong portfolio of public companies and is a finance manager at Sweetwater Capital. Stacy Broadoway brings to the Company in-depth knowledge of regulatory issues gained from her experience as a consultant to over 24 public companies on matters relating to compliance, business development and project management.

The board of directors has accepted the resignations of Ms. Anne McCandless as CFO and director, Mr. Conrad Lacker, director, Donald Gee as chairman and Terry R. Fields as Chief Executive Officer pending TSX Venture Exchange approval of the proposed appointments to the board and management. Mr. Schorn will be joining Brad Kitchen, Donald Gee, CA, BSc. (Geology), Terry R. Fields, LL.B, BSc. and Pat McAndless, P. Geo., BSc. Honours (Geology) on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors would very much like to thank Ms. McCandless and Mr. Lacker for their years of hard work on behalf of the shareholders.  Their efforts have helped form a solid foundation on which the Company can build.
