Malbex Resources Inc. (News - Market indicators) ("Malbex" or the "Company") announced today that it has completed its previously announced public offering (the "Offering") of units of the Company (the "Units"). Malbex issued 30,000,000 Units at a price of $0.50 per Unit for aggregate gross proceeds of $15,000,000. Each Unit consists of one common share (a "Common Share") and one-half of one common share purchase warrant (each whole warrant, a "Warrant"). Each Warrant is exercisable to purchase one Common Share at a price of $0.65 at any time until May 8, 2013.
BMO Capital Markets acted as underwriter (the "Underwriter") for the Offering. In connection with the Offering, the Underwriter received a 6% cash commission. In addition, the Company issued to the Underwriter 1,800,000 compensation options (the "Compensation Options"). Each Compensation Option is exercisable to purchase one Common Share at a price of $0.50 at any time until May 8, 2013.
The net proceeds of the Offering are expected to be used for exploration of the Company's projects in Argentina and for general corporate purposes.
