VANCOUVER, British Columbia: Bell Copper Corporation (TSXV: BCU) is pleased to announce that the Company has completed drillhole K-8 and commenced coring operations on hole K-9 of its Kabba porphyry copper-molybdenum project located midway between the operating Bagdad and Mineral Park copper mines in northwestern Arizona.

Drillhole K-8 is interpreted to have intersected the eastern pyritic fringe of the decapitated porphyry system. The diamond cored tail of drillhole K-8 was completed to a depth of 544 meters, encountering oxidized and sericitized dacite porphyry beneath 394 meters of cover rocks. The hole terminated in pyrite-rich, sericitized andesite porphyry carrying trace disseminated chalcocite and uranophane. Approximately three volume percent pyrite in the andesite porphyry has completely replaced primary magnetite grains. Intervening Precambrian granite is strongly sericitized and carries thumb-sized quartz crystals in vuggy quartz veins. Trace levels of arsenic and lead are notably lower while the intensity of sericitization is higher in K-8 than in Bell's previous drilling on the project, supporting the concept that K-8 is more proximal to the heart of the sought-after target. The Kabba drill program is targeting a faulted, major copper-molybdenum porphyry system beneath 100 to 500 meters of cover.

Drillholes K-7 and K-8 have defined the western and eastern margins, respectively, of the Kabba target. This 2.7 kilometer dimension matches the known narrow dimension of the outcropping porphyry root zone in the footwall block. The position of K-9 was selected to bisect this dimension and to match intense quartz stockwork veins in the corresponding position in the footwall.

Drillhole K-9, located 1.6 kilometres northwest of K-8, is believed to be positioned over the geometrical center of the hangingwall target. K-9 is expected to provide the shortest trajectory from the surface down to a hypothetical supergene enrichment blanket and underlying zone of primary mineralization. The drillhole was pre-collared to a depth of 293 meters and is currently being advanced by diamond coring at a depth of 304 meters.

Timothy Marsh, PhD, P.E., the Company's VP of Exploration and a Qualified Person continues to oversee the drilling operation. No mineral resource has yet been identified on the Kabba Project. There is no certainty that the present exploration effort will result in the identification of a mineral resource or that any mineral resource that might be discovered will prove to be economically recoverable.
