Stage 1 Drilling completed at Mabale Hills JV in Tanzania
Currie Rose Resources Inc. is pleased to announce that Stage 1 drilling at the Mabale Hills Project that forms part of the Lake Victoria Joint Venture with ASX listed Sub-Sahara Resources NL has concluded. (See map on website, www.currierose.com )
Two prospect areas known as Simba and Dhahabu were drilled.
At the Simba target, coincident geochemical/geophysical targets were tested. Forty six Rotary Air Blast (RAB) drill holes totalling 2,267m were completed returning anomalous gold results as tabled below (Table 1). In addition, 5 Reverse Circulation (RC) drill holes totalling 738m were also completed, returning continuous bands of low grade gold mineralisation with a peak value of 1.10g/t gold over 1 metre from 82m. No further activity is planned for Simba at this time.
At Dhahabu, where previous drilling identified significant gold mineralisation, including 5m @ 4.40g/t gold from 9m, three RC drill holes were completed for 450m. These drill holes targeted a strong (partially complete) Induced Polarization (IP)/Resistivity geophysical anomaly located approximately 100m west of the known gold mineralisation.
Whilst significant gold values were returned by this drilling, strong sulfide mineralisation was intersected and its location close to the known gold mineralisation is a very encouraging indicator, commonly associated with gold mineralisation in the Lake Victoria Greenstone belt.
Activity will now centre on defining the known gold mineralisation at Dhahabu by infill trenching the current 80metre spaced trenches, expanding the Induced Polarization (IP)/Resistivity geophysical survey and conducting a closed spaced (10metre apart) ground magnetic survey as a precursor to further planned drilling (Stage 2). This Stage 2 drilling may be partly Diamond drilling due to previously encountered terrain access issues.
In addition, the Joint Venture expects to have a structural specialist review the existing data to assist in exploration planning.
The work to date at both Simba and Dhahabu has been a technical success, and there are still a number of high order targets to process with systematic exploration.
A program of Cover-Bedrock Interface (CBI) drilling is in preparation and will commence shortly at the Sizu River prospect, situated approximately 8km north east of the Mwamazengo Prospect.

About Lake Victoria Joint Venture
The Lake Victoria Joint Venture with Australian listed Sub-Sahara Resources NL (ASX-SBS) covers two project areas, Mabale Hills and Nyamirembe. Currie has earned a 40% interest in the project areas and can increase its interest in these licences to 70% by completing a bankable Feasibility Study on either of the projects. The Mabale Hills project consists of five licenses and one application covering 261 square km and the Mwamazengo discovery falls within the license package.
Notes:
1. All Assay values are uncut
2. As there is insufficient data to calculated true widths, drill intercept lengths only are reported.
3. A Quality Assurance/Quality Control program is part of the drilling program on the Mabale Hills Project. This program includes chain of custody protocol as well as systematic submittals of standards, duplicates and blank samples into the flow of samples produced by the drilling.
4. A description of the geology, sampling procedures, and the Company's laboratory Quality Assurance / Quality Control procedures are as described in the Company's National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report filed on March 21, 2005. This report is available at www.sedar.com.
5. Samples are prepared and analysed at Humac Laboratories ? Mwanza, Tanzania
6. The Qualified Person for the release of this exploration information is Michael Griffiths AusIMM, Director of Currie Rose Resources Inc. and Managing Director of Sub-Sahara Resources NL
