FRISCO, Texas (AP) _ Comstock Resources Inc. (CRK) on Wednesday reported a loss of $545 million in its third quarter.
The Frisco, Texas-based company said it had a loss of $11.81 per share. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $1.06 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $1.23 per share.
The oil and gas company posted revenue of $61.4 million in the period, which fell short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $65.2 million.
The company's shares closed at $2.75. A year ago, they were trading at $11.19.
