(News - Market indicators) announced today that the Company's Annual General and Special Meeting (the "Meeting") is scheduled to be held on Thursday, July 21st, 2011 at 700-401 West Georgia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, at 10 a.m. (Vancouver time) and the record date for shareholders entitled to vote at the meeting is June 2nd, 2011.
Meeting materials and the Information Circular regarding the Pafra Acquisition will be mailed to shareholders in advance of the meeting.
Shareholders are reminded that the meeting materials will also be made available electronically on SEDAR under the Company's profile.
Werner Lake and Norpax Update
Puget has tenured AGP Mining and Consultants (formerly PG&E) (Press Release dated December 10th, 2009) who are in the process of completing a National Instrument 43-101 compliant Resource Report on the Werner Lake Belt property. The Resource Report includes a summary of the past geophysical and geological work, history and exploration of the Werner Lake asset conducted by past expeditions as well as work accomplished by Puget Ventures. In order to preserve capital due to the lengthy undertaking of the Puget Ventures/IMHL deal the Company has not requested the consultants to finalize the report.
The Norpax nickel-copper asset is undergoing reinterpretation and the Company plans to complete additional work including prospecting and drilling on the asset to further test structural models and observations. Also of interest is the high-grade extension of the Werner Lake Cobalt Deposit, announced in a press release dated June 7th, 2010.
