Constellation Energy Corporate Social Responsibility Report Highlights Energy Efficiency, Clean Energy, Community Engagement
BALTIMORE--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Constellation Energy released its annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report today, detailing the company's CSR goals, performance and 2010 initiatives. As part of its sustainability reporting program, Constellation engaged PwC to provide limited assurance, under standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, of Constellation Energy's 2010 direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) greenhouse gas emissions disclosed in the report.

Constellation Energy's CSR report focuses on the company's leadership and governance, environmental performance, sustainability and innovation, community engagement and workplace performance. Highlights of the report include:
- Constellation Energy's environmental and sustainability goals, first formalized in 2010.
- Descriptions of the company's clean-energy products and services that enable customers to use energy more efficiently.
- A summary of the company's efforts in the "Five E's" of its community engagement program�energy assistance, education, economic growth, environment and employee involvement�and the growth of Constellation's EcoStar and E2 Energy to EducateSM grants programs.
Among the progress featured in the report is the expansion of Constellation Energy's renewable energy portfolio in 2010, which included the completion of the first wind farm in Maryland and the rapid growth of its commercial solar business. Additionally, the report discusses energy technology innovations announced by the company in 2010, including BGE's smart grid plans and the 2010 release of Constellation Energy's VirtuWatt� tool that allows commercial customers to track energy use and costs in real time to identify ways to increase efficiency.
