Terra Nova Gold Corp.: Director Appointments

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 15, 2007) - Willie McLucas, Chairman of Terra Nova Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TGC)(FRANKFURT:GLT), announces that Messrs. Tom Allen and James Currie have been appointed to the Company's Board of Directors.

Mr. Jim Currie is a mining engineer with almost thirty years of experience in all aspects of the minerals industry. During his career he has worked for major companies including Placer-Dome Inc. and Noranda. Recently he has worked as a senior executive for a number of junior exploration and development companies in South America and Asia. Mr. Currie is currently Vice President, Operations for Miramar Mining Corporation, where he is responsible for developing mines on the 10 million ounce, Hope Bay Gold Belt. Previously he was the General Manager in Mauritania, for First Quantum Minerals where he was responsible for the development of the Guelb Moghrein copper/gold mine.

Mr. Tom Allen is counsel to Ogilvy Renault in Toronto and Chairman of Westwind Capital Corp (parent of a Canadian investment dealer). He was the initial Chairman of the Accounting Standards Oversight Council of Canada and recently acted as Chairman of Task Force to Modernize Securities Legislation in Canada. Mr. Allen was also a member of the Advisory Board of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions in Canada. He is a director of a number of Canadian public companies and most recently served as a director of Bema Gold prior to its takeover by Kinross.

Additionally, the Company announces that Laurie Sadler has resigned from the Company's Board of Directors.
