El

Discusses Strategy and Objectives
SCOTTSDALE,
Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- El Capitan Precious Metals, Inc. (OTCBB: ECPN)
reports: Over the last few weeks, El Capitan Precious Metals has reorganized
its Board of Directors, appointing Chairman John F. Stapleton, Secretary James
G. Ricketts and Director Charles C. Mottley, along
with its new management team, CEO & President Charles C. Mottley and CFO Steven Antol. Every
member of the new team is a significant, long-term shareholder in ECPN with a
commitment to building value in El Capitan for
all shareholders. All shareholders have seen their investment seriously
devalued, and the new management team has undertaken the task to restore value
for all shareholders.
With a clear understanding
of its goal, the new team has developed a strategy and a plan to start the
process of restoring shareholder value. The ECPN board has met with its partner
in the El Capitan Project, the Gold and Minerals Board, to organize a strategy
and plan to accomplish that objective. The ECPN team is committed to raising
the necessary funds to complete the following outlined collaborative plan:
 - Remain current with all ECPN filings to continue trading on the OTCBB.
 - Reduce operating overhead by moving ECPN's office to complimentary office space in Scottsdale, Ariz.
- Eliminate the current $45,000 a month ECPN officer salaries with voluntary shareholder
participation in these positions with guidance from a select shareholder advisory board.
- Consult with mining industry experts and enter into a plan to establish the true value of
all ECPN assets while remaining open to development of any opportunities that may present themselves.
ECPN will
communicate milestones for this plan and initiate regular public reporting on
the results of these efforts.
Through this orderly
approach, the Company also expects to establish an independent valuation of the
El Capitan property. We expect this effort to
take another 9-12 months, as the work has already been initiated. Together, we
will work toward identifying the value for all shareholders that we as a
company continue to believe in.
You can expect to see more
details and timing of this plan with progress reports in the months ahead as we
accomplish these steps.
