DRILL
CAMPAIGN CONTINUES INTERSECTING THE BOUCHER GOLD ZONE
Pointe-Claire, Quebec, December 11, 2007
– ROCMEC MINING INC. (the Company) (TSX-V Symbol: RMI) (FSE Symbol: D5O)
is pleased to inform
its shareholders on the ongoing diamond drill campaign currently underway at its
Rocmec 1 Gold Property, located in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec.
For the fourth time, diamond
drilling has intersected the mineralized structure known as the Boucher Gold Zone
between surface and -400 m.
This fourth diamond drill hole has enabled Rocmec to better understand the
orientation of the Boucher Gold Zone considering that it has been intersected
in at least 3 separate holes on 3 different sections. The Boucher Gold Zone
differs from the other known structures on the property, having a NE-SW
orientation compared to an E-W orientation for the other known structures. This
fourth intersection clearly identifies a very significant mineralized structure
and confirms the dip and continuity of the Boucher Gold Zone. Highlights to
date from the Boucher Gold Zone include:

The fourth intercept in RS-04-07 intersected 7.8 m (core length) with
assays between 0.38 g/t and 0.55 g/t gold;

The third intercept in RS-03-07 intersected 14.9 m with assays between
0.21 g/t and 1.2 g/t gold;

The second intercept in RS-02-07, located 140 m from the first diamond
drill hole, intersected between 2.78 g/t and 619.6 g/t gold over 2.4 m;

The first intercept in RS-01-06 intersected, at a depth of 400 m, 33.30 m with assays between
0.03 g/t and 71.01 g/t gold.

 Results so far are
very encouraging considering the number of quartz veins located within the
mineralized structure and the presence of significant quantities of gold in
different areas. One must keep in mind the philosophy behind exploration
activities related to narrow-vein ore bodies, and that is drill for structure
and drift for grade states Donald Brisebois, President and CEO.
The diamond drill
campaign has moved underground on Level 90 in the western section of the mine. Some 9 –
300 m
holes over three sections covering a distance of 500 m will be drilled at the
beginning of 2008. Based on the results of the drill campaign, management will
decide whether to conduct drift development towards the Boucher Gold Zone from
either Level 90 or Level 130. Furthermore, aided by its thermal fragmentation
process, management continues evaluating the grades on known and developed
veins from Levels 90-110 and 130.
