DRILLING BEGINS AT 100% OWNED GUMBOOT PROPERTY

Pitchstone Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V: PXP; ?Pitchstone?) is pleased to
report that all land use permits are in hand and core drilling has begun
on its 100% owned Gumboot property in the eastern Athabasca Basin,
Saskatchewan. Drilling commenced last week with a planned program of
2,400 m in 3 holes.

The drill holes will be located to test a strong, 5 km long, moving loop
electromagnetic conductor outlined with geophysical surveys completed by
Pitchstone and previous operators. The holes will also follow up on
encouraging results obtained in two drill holes completed in 1989 and
1997 by previous operators.

Drilling at Gumboot brings the total number of Pitchstone properties
currently being drilled to three. Core drilling is also in progress at
the Darby-Candle property in the eastern Athabasca Basin, and in the
Hornby Bay Basin, Nunavut.

Steve Blower, P.Geo., Vice President of Exploration for Pitchstone, is
the Qualified Person for the purposes of NI 43-101 with respect to the
technical information in this news release.

Pitchstone is actively exploring for uranium in four proven districts.
The property portfolio features eight projects in the eastern Athabasca
Basin, Saskatchewan, five of which are joint ventured with Uranium One,
with the other three being 100% owned. In addition, there are five
joint venture projects with Triex in the Hornby Bay Basin, Nunavut and
NWT, an exploration partnership with Cameco and Motapa Diamonds in the
Franceville Basin, Gabon, and an option on three projects in Namibia.
Pitchstone has a unique group of geologists with extensive uranium
exploration and production experience.
